Rett Wilbur – a Teacher and Coach from 1963 to 1996 at Flowing Wells High School. Rett was the consummate teacher and coach. He coached any and every sport that needed his help. If Athletic Director Ted Sorich needed a coach for a season, Rett was there to step up. Rett was instrumental in developing the Delta League at the Jr. High School and won several Delta League titles coaching Football. He coached football at both Flowing Wells Jr. High and Flowing Wells High School. Rett coached both boys and girls basketball at the high school and was the first Boys Volleyball coach at Flowing Wells High School. Rett also coached Track, Cross Country and Baseball during his tenure. Several testimonials from former students were: “Mr. Wilbur was the single greatest positive role model of my youth” and “I wish my kids could play for a coach like Coach Wilbur.
