Dominick Cruz – a 2003 graduate of Flowing Wells High School. Dominick earned four varsity letters in wrestling and was selected team captain his senior year. He finished fifth in State in 2003 while accumulating several school records. He was a member of the Region Championship team. After high school, Dominick continued his drive for competition in Mixed Martial Arts. He entered the WEC and became the Bantam Weight Champion in 2010. He then joined the UFC where he quickly became the UFC World Bantam Weight Champion. He went undefeated for ten years and is currently 22-2 in Mixed Martial Arts. In addition to his accomplishments in MMA, Dominick is also a sports announcer for Fox Sports 1 and was selected as the Fox Sports Analyst of the year in 2016. He was also selected for the San Diego Hall of Champions. Dominick also continues to support the “Higher Ground Association” in Tucson for underprivileged youth.
